On a fun Saturday morning my friends and I decided to take a hike in the Superstition mountains. We did a hike called the Peralta Trail. These are some desert marigolds looking up into the canyon. |
As we were hiking along I got this picture of a bee working on a New Mexico Thistle. |
The orange flower is the Desert Globe Mallow. Then the view of the Superstition mountains that just keep going and are very green this time of year. |
These are some of the rocks we hiked past. |
This pinnacle is the turnaround point of the hike. What a beautiful view of Weavers Needle. |
Sandi and Debbie knew exactly where they were going until the trail, that hundreds of people a day hike up and down, suddenly jumped 50 feet to the left and stranded in a bush up on top of the rocks. |
I think this is some sort of a Common Earless Lizard. My skills of identifying lizards are not so great. This guy was just sitting on the rock taking in some sun. I snapped this picture and then a really good one of an empty rock and the last bit of the tail. |
