Well one day while driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles I stopped in the lackluster town of Baker, CA along Interstate 15.  In this sun baked town I discovered the majesty of the World's Tallest Thermometer.  It is 134 feet tall.  I am told that in 1913 the temperature rose to 134 degrees.  The morning I was zipping past the temperature was a mere 76.  The thermometer is owned by the Bun Boy Restaurant next door.
